I am so proud of the continued hard work and success of the University of Charleston SIFE team. It is truly an organization focused on helping others, NOT self-gratification. Adam, you have grasped what it means to have a "Head for Business, Heart for the World". If everyone had your heart, the world would be transformed and people wouldn't feel the need to slander those who are more successful than they are.

It amazes me how many people outside SIFE have false information (funds against SGA's rules). It just shows how many people can't seem to do anything better with their time than speculate falsely and spread rumors. I can assure you that all organizations applying for funds from SGA follow the rules and have a fair chance at receiving these funds. Actually, SIFE has probably had to work harder to secure their funding than other organizations because of this jealous streak on campus.

Congratulations to the UC SIFE team for their continued success over the last few years and especially for the wonderful start to this academic year. You are continually raising the bar and empowering people to live better lives. There is no greater feeling than knowing that you are making a positive difference in someone's life. Keep up the good work and do not become discouraged by those who are ignorant and try to tear you down!

Since Sarah's "facts" (representing RHA?) are untrue, is she bashing UC SIFE because she's jealous of SIFE’s continued success?

SIFE students and advisors write grants and secure sponsorships from SIFE Partner Companies (www.sife.org), participate in fundraisers, and apply for House of Governor funding once each semester (in accordance with SGA/HOG rules and regulations).

How lucky UC is to have an organization like SIFE on our campus! Each week SIFE students teach homeless teens and women about various success skills and financial literacy skills, elementary aged children about health and fitness, and middle school children about goal setting. In addition to these seven weekly projects, the SIFE team funds speakers’ series completes environmentally friendly renovation projects, hosts ethics case competitions for high school students, and assists local businesses with accounting and marketing education and training.

Adam and all other SIFE team members, thanks for representing yourselves and UC so well - and keep up the great work! Not only are you a great representation of our school, but you are also making our world a better place through your continued service on our campus and in our community!

It takes hard work and sacrifice to be successful. Thanks to all past and present UC SIFE members for your hard work and sacrifice! Your success in SIFE is UC's success too! We’re proud of you!!!!

SIFE is overrated. Unfortunately, they are the only organization on UC's campus to get any positive publicity on this campus. Their main reason for success is the amount of upper echelon SIFE members who also sit on SGA. These people siphon funds, against SGA rules, to SIFE and disregard requests for any other organization's fund requests besides RHA.

Connie! It is so nice to see your posting. In case you haven't heard, I have advanced to the semi-final round for the Rhodes. Currently, I'm gearing up for a two day interview process in Philidelphia (Nov. 18/19). I almost stopped by the luncheon last week to say "hello." I so enjoy seeing you! To answer your question, I am finishing the double major in 3 years. See you shortly!

Hi, Ryan! We keep popping into each other's lives and it is the coolest thing. I am pulling for you on the Rhodes Scholarship - you certainly embody all the qualities they look for, so I hope you knock 'em dead! I will see you on Nov. 30 when you perform for the UC Builders. Good luck with the rest of this semester!

by the way, are you finishing your double major in 3 years?
